Maria Villote
Maria Fe Victoria T. Villote is an interdisciplinary artist working primarily in sculpture, painting, & digital photography. As a 1.5 generation Filipinx immigrant, her current body of work integrates symbols of both pre/post-colonialism; her experience of having fully assimilated while being accused of cultural alienation; the act of rediscovery & recollection of her own origin; and the colonial mentality. She received a BFA at University California, Berkeley.
