Carlos Zerpa
Carlos Arturo Zerpa (Venezuela, 1984)
Proudly based in Caracas, Carlos is a writer, director, and creative troublemaker passionate about the cathartic power of visual storytelling. With experience in editorial, street art, and award-winning animated short films, his creative practice began moved by the promise of the Bolivarian Revolution, but currently plays with the contradictions of finding purpose in a falling apart world. Co-founder of MECHA, a cooperative team focused on irreverent and transgressive animation projects, and RIMA, a digital platform to connect artists from the Global South with international mobility and financing opportunities. Currently, he’s developing Karetabla, an animated sitcom for adults, and LOA, Kill Your Masters, his first feature film.
